Ric x Aye x Legend

The homies over at My Cultures Speaks decided to share the spotlight with myself and a few good friends. I’m unfamiliar with where the idea stemmed from but I definitely have to salute my folks for the write up. Still young in the game compared to my two counterparts but I definitely wanted to take a moment to acknowledge the “On The Rise” write up. As a developing DJ I’ve learned to humble myself and always honor or pay homage (a less formal phrase) to those before me. Big shout out to DJ Ricochet who gave me my first tough love lesseon, “Stop Bullsh*ting and blend” and DJ Young Legend to continues to break new music upholding true hip hop standards. Be sure to check www.MyCultureSpeaks.com  for more on the lastest in terms of fashion, music and current events.

LoveLife

Over the summer I had a few chances to spin at one of Philly’s soulful lounges / clubs …. Warmdaddy’s. Any Philly native familiar with Warmdaddy’s knows this is a place where you take your significant other for a relaxed peaceful evening complimented by live music. It tends to be a mature crowd with heavy interest in jazz & blues, however thanks to ERAC, Aziz and Will they took Warmdaddy’s roof to another level. Still maintaining the warm soulful environment they added some youth to the lounge throught the “LoveLife” series. I must say it’s not the easiest task mixing line dance, with modern R&B, with a splash of classic hip hop …. but as I always say, “respect the DJ”. Big shout out to Ziz, ERAC, & Will for giving me the opportunity. Check out a few pics below…
