Field House

Busy weekend friends … Knocked out 5 gigs in two days with no honest footage to say the least. I was able to steal this picture taken while I was at Field House, located at 1150 Filbert Street. This was a challenge to say the least, almost had the biggest gig of my life with the venue holding 900+ comfortably but due to limitations and conflicts of interest I was in the upstairs lounge. None the less shout out to all the folks who came to support my guys @IMYAGUY @_CDiddy @Qua55st. Hopefully more pictures will surface in the near future….if not life goes on . BY THE WAY be sure to LIKE my facebook page here: http://www.facebook.com/pages/Dj-AYEboogie/214862071857715

Brown Sugar

This mix was inspired by a rainy winter night. Now right off the bat I know you are assuming it is going to be lonely box music …. Nah not my style folks. This right here is called Brown Sugar, primarily because that’s the movie I was watching during the rainy night. Nonetheless I felt that I needed to produce a mix focused on the fundamentals of hip-hop: an “ill” beat, dope lyrics, and authenticity. When listening keep this quote in mind,  ”when did I fall in love with hip hop” … Til next time folks …

Champanges

Recap of this past weekend at Champagnes located in Uptown. When I first entered the venue … well let me paint a picture for you: Kangol hats, slacks, hard bottom shoes & fried chicken platters. I knew I was in for “one of them nights”. Nonetheless my good friend Mina provided a very mature environment for her mother’s 50th birthday celebration. I often am critiqued by older  folks who say, “boy you aint even 50, how you going to DJ this event” … and to that I say view the pics below.
