The CRATES … by now you have (or should have) listened to the mixtape, now see how it was created. We loaded up my brother’s Delta 88, threw on my “ball shorts” and flip flops, and got ready for a long night. Once we arrived at the studio I learned that Kush had transformed his entire living room into a music studio. Equipped with the last recording software, studio equipment, and classic vinyl Kush’s pad was now a sanctuary for producing greatness. My only downfall was that I recorded the entire mixtape on a thrift coffee table, but nonetheless I enjoyed my stay. A few pics provided below by the genius, BillyABSTRACT…
CINCO De MAYO !!! I’ve never been a fan of the holiday until this year. A few of my close friends and I decided to host the first official cookout of the summer, right here in our own backyard; West Philly. The cookout took place in Malcolm X park and lasted for about 7 hours. It’s safe to assume had Mayweather v. Cotto not been scheduled we would have been in the park all night. In either case it was a fun filled evening complete with music, drinks, food and entertainment. Nothing like pure fun to start your summer … Pics provided below …
DAYPARTY, the trending topic in Philadelphia Sunday May 6th. Sunday I was able to make my second appearance at the day party and continued to support the progression. A relaxed atmosphere, 70+ degree weather, live performances, indoor/outdoor … what’s not to love? In either case look for the Day Party to occupy your Sunday afternoons throughout the summer.
